’I use the USB-B-to-USB-C variant to connect a Samsung mobile phone to a Furutech ADL Stratos DAC and then play a WAV of Charles Avison’s Concerto Grosso No.10 in D major, from my phone. The sound quality is surprisingly good and I find myself enjoying a very rich and full presentation. The double basses are well controlled and the top end is clear and precise.

I then use the USB-C-to-USB-C cable to connect the phone to my car and play an MP3 file of Lyn Stanley singing Blue Moon from her album Black Dress Ballads. The soundstage is very good, given that I am listening in the car, and Stanley’s vocals are very clear and real. The robust connectors provide a reliable connection, which I have not always experienced with some of the USB-C leads that I have used in the past.

Overall, the C-USB is a very well-made product with excellent quality connectors and is a real step up compared with many cheaper computer-grade USB cables.’
