The original high-end cable gets a high-tech insulation upgrade

Signature is our longest-running cable range and has been a Chord Company staple since 1998. Its longevity and consistent performance have contributed greatly to our worldwide status and is a mark of our dedication to getting the very best sound from your hi-fi.

Materials, construction and specifications have evolved and improved over the years, keeping Signature at the cutting edge of the hi-fi industry. Recent benefits have included ARAY technology and ChorAlloy™ plating for connectors.

Insulation technology too is constantly improving, hence our switch to XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) for SignatureXL speaker and SignatureX power cables, with each delivering outstanding results to widespread critical acclaim.

It was logical to share the benefits of this new insulation with the Signature interconnect cables. On the surface this would appear to be a fairly simple task but like many simple tasks they can turn out to take longer than you expect.

Several prototypes later, and after rigorous testing, we are very happy to announce that XLPE will now be incorporated into all Signature analogue interconnects. The new upgraded SignatureX Tuned ARAY analogue cable retains the same high-performance shielding architecture and Tuned ARAY technology as its predecessor.
